Comments: Hi... It was hard to choose a particular song in the band's discography, for there are so many great songs in their repertoire... But if I had to choose an album, it would definitely be Brain Salad Surgery, it think it represented Emerson, Lake & Palmer's whole career as to where they were going to and why they got together in the first place. E.L.P. were the reason why music caught my ear and their music easily made it's way into my heart for ever and ever...

Favorite ELP/Greg Lake song: Wow! This *is* a toughy! All but impossible to name a singular tune, but will pick the one that made me cry like a baby the first time I heard it, when it debuted on "The Midnight Special" in 1975: "I believe in Father Christmas". Greg's voice and vocal arrangement on this tune absolutely floored me. The orchestra an choral arangements ripped my heart out. I will *never* forget it as long as I live. The same with subsequent releases. What an awesome voice he has!! Favorite ELP tune is Karn Evil 9 3rd impression. So ahead of its time! Computers are taking us over folks! Just like ELP said! We can't live without them now... LOL!

Comments: Girls, This sight is *the* most awesome available on Greg Lake. I have literally walked through all of them, and nothing compares to the "Ladies of the Lake" website. The title is too cool! So many photos, so much to view on the whole band, you have so much to offer. I can't say thank you enough for this website. I am having a blast here looking at the tons of things available. Greg Lake is one of the most awesome musicians in the world, and your tribute to him is such a welcome sight. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the dedication and hard work you put into this for all fans of Greg Lake. Sincerely yours, Steve Barber

Comments: E: It was good to see your insert and thread on Elizabeth Smart and the Amber Alert. On GL's drawings: I cannot confirm anything about this, but there used to be sort of a "logo" of a sketch which had feathers made into the image of a fleur-de-lis and I've always wondered if Greg drew this himself. Perhaps someone can find out? You've seen it, haven't you, E? I did a Google image search for it but it didn't show up and I haven't noticed seeing it on anything in a long time (didn't I send it to you?). I just heard "Emo" on the radio and I can't help but have a spot spot for him. His warped sense of humor is a lot like that of my best friend from my childhood days, and he cracks me up. Plus, he reminds me (in a good way) of how much I still have to learn about music, jazz in particular. I hope y'all heard it and have a good discussion thread on it. Lastly, I haven't tried to contact John Arnold (of the ELP Digest) yet, but if/when I do I'll probably suggest that I'm sure folks would understand if he were to decide to solicit donations on his website. Mr. Arnold was one of the first, if not THE first, to initiate and maintain a decent, viable advertising-free presence for ELP on the internet and has gone above and beyond through the years regarding same. If anyone deserves kudos and support for this, it's John.

Do you have any comments? Was about 11 when I became an ELP fan and haven't stop since. Saw them in 77, my first concert, in Huntsville, Al. Arrived a couple hours early for the show in a vacant parking lot behind the Civic Center when two limos pulled up. One drove pass me and I saw Carl Palmer in it. The other one stopped at the stage entrance to the civic center. About four people got out, one of which was Greg Lake who was stand about 40 yards from me. We looked at him and he looked at us. But we were teenage boys who didn't have a clue what to do in a situation like that. So we both went our seperate ways without saying a wordSmile. It was only about 25 years later when I was in front of Greg again At the Ringo concert. This time I did get an autograph.

Do you have any comments? I've been listening to prog and ELP from 1977 onwards. (FM radio was so cool back then) Started with "Brain Salad Surgery" (their all-time best, IMHO) with the legendary Giger cover and never looked back. Nice to see ELP being appreciated by both male and female listeners. As a side note, did you know that Chantal Kurziewerk (forgive my spelling there), best known for signing "In My Life" for TV's "Providence" (my favorite TV Guilty Pleasure), once cited Greg as an influence in an interview? Let's also give special thanks to the many wonderful musicians who helped bring Greg's songs to life over the years--among them Robert Fripp, Gary Moore, Ringo Starr...and of course Keith, Carl and (RIP) Cozy. Good luck Greg----and good luck Ladies!

Do you have any comments? My favorite is Greg Lake,I love the way he sings. My favorite song fron Greg Lake is Father Christmas. That is one of the most beautiful songs that I ever heard.I went to see ELP a couple of years ago at the ECENTER in Camden NJ and they were with Deep Purple and the show cancelled.I was so disappointed,I was there to see ELP not Deep Purple.I just hope that Greg Lake or ELP will be returning soon to the Philly area.

Do you have any comments? Just saw the All Starr concert last night. Can't remember having more fun. I stared at Greg's hands on those guitars in awe through my binoculars for a good part of the evening. Seeing his "heart" guitar live...WOW! ELP is one of my favorite bands; always has been. Good site ladies! I'll be back.

Do you have any comments? It is nice to see a web site for us Greg fans. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only Greg Lake fan around. I've been a fan of his since back in the early 70's when I first saw ELP on In Concert. I thought who is this band...and who is this adorable man that is singing lead??? I soon found out, went out and bought the first of many of their albums...and the rest is history.
